Adopt a coffee tree and enjoy the finest speciality coffee delivered direct to your door all year round.
Coffee has long been drunk as a pick-me-up thanks to its caffeine content. But did you know that it might also offer your health a pick-me-up, too, thanks to its polyphenol content and their antioxidant effects? There is a growing body of evidence to suggest that the chlorogenic acids and flavonoids in coffee can protect against cell damage and cardiovascular and neurodegenerative conditions as well as helping to support a healthy gut microbiome.
Pomora's two coffee growers produce exceptional green beans thanks to their obsessive focus on quality both during cultivation and processing stages. That quality is preserved and enhanced by our expert roasters who apply just enough heat to bring out the flavours but not so much as to damage the polyphenol content. The result is outstanding coffee which tastes great and is good for you - delicious and nutritious, as we like to say.
When you join Pomora and adopt a coffee tree, you'll receive a personalised Adoption Pack, including your Adoption Certificate and a booklet about your tree. We send this electronically as soon as you place your order - perfect for a thoughtful, last-minute gift. To help reduce paper waste, we'll send the Adoption Pack digitally by default, but if you'd prefer a printed version, we're happy to post one to you at no extra cost.
Your initial payment at signup covers your first shipment of 3 x 250g bags of coffee and you will receive a futher shipment for every quarter your Adoption remains active. Our standard shipment includes one 250g bag of each of our Light, Medium and Darker roast coffees but you may customise your choices at any time.
Our expert roasters take our Light roast coffees just past the first crack allowing the fruitiness and acidity to shine through.
Our Medium coffees are on the lighter side of medium to allow some sweetness and body to come through to compliment the fruit and acidity.
Our Darker roast isn't allowed to get anywhere near the second crack but is full bodied and deliciously sweet.
Like many Brazilians, Alvaro's three passions in life are family, football and coffee. He took over the running of the family farm - Sitio Da Torre - from his father in 1995 although the family ownership dates back to the 19th century when Antonia Coli emigrated from Italy to Brazil. Alvaro's coffees earn consistently high SCA cupping scores and he has won 29 Cup of Excellence awards.
