Adopt an olive tree and enjoy fresh and delicious olive oil delivered direct to your door all year round.
Olive oil is one of the most ancient foods known to humankind and a cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet. It is celebrated both for its rich flavour and its health benefits. Research has shown olive oil to positively impact cardiovascular and cognitive function, reduce chronic inflammation in conditions such as arthritis, protect against cancers and regulate insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes which has the added benefit of helping to maintain a healthy weight.
But not all olive oils are created equal. Even within the highest category of extra virgin olive oils, there is a wide variation in quality, both in terms of flavour and polyphenol content, which more and more research is pointing towards as the source of the health benefits of olive oil.
Pomora's single-varietal, single-estate extra virgin olive oils are some of the finest in the world. Both our growers have won multiple gold medals at JOOP and NYIOOC, two of the most prestigious independent international competitions globally. Our oils are lab tested each harvest on multiple measures and consistently deliver oleic acidity levels of around 0.2% (the threshold to be classified as extra virgin is 0.8%, lower is better) and polyphenol content comfortably in excess of 300 mg/kg (the threshold to advertise the health benefits of olive oil is 250 mg/kg, higher is better). In short, Pomora's extra virgin olive oils taste great and are good for you.
When you join Pomora and adopt an olive tree, you'll receive a personalised Adoption Pack, including your Adoption Certificate and a booklet about your tree. We send this electronically as soon as you place your order - perfect for a thoughtful, last-minute gift. To help reduce paper waste, we'll send the Adoption Pack digitally by default, but if you'd prefer a printed version, we're happy to post one to you at no extra cost.
Your initial payment at signup covers your first shipment of 3 x 250ml tins of oil and you will receive a futher shipment for every quarter your Adoption remains active.
Our youngest, freshest olive oil. Bottled directly after harvest, olio nuovo is unfiltered, has a vibrant green colour, a distinct fresh flavour and a pizzicante finish. Growers traditionally celebrate the olio nuovo with a gathering of family and friends at the frantoio - a tradition we love to keep up.
The spring shipment includes one tin of each of our lemon, chilli and rosemary flavoured oils. All of the Pomora flavoured olive oils are made with extra virgin olive oil but generally a milder oil than our standard EVOO to let the flavours shine through. The chilli olive oil takes you on a taste-based voyage of discovery.
Our extra virgin olive oil could never be called everyday even though we use it nearly every day. Complex flavours intertwine and marry with a healthy finishing kick to produce a great base for vinaigrettes, focaccia or simply as a dip. Just as nature intended - pure and delicious.
Three more flavoured olive oils form our autumn shipment - basil, garlic and white truffle. Basil is the classic pairing for any tomato-based dish and the garlic and white truffle have a more earthy taste to reflect the time of year. The white truffle olive oil is liquid luxury.
Antonio's olive groves are located in the region of Campania in southern Italy which has been the scene of many battles with the Greeks, Romans, Normans and Germans all seeking to control it. And no wonder, its Roman name was Campania felix which translates as fertile countryside. These days things are a lot more peaceful but the soil is no less fertile which provides perfect growing conditions for Antonio's deliciously robust oil.

Like his father before him, Carmelo is passionate about great olive oil. With his family home located right next door to the frantoio in a small village just outside the city of Catania in eastern Sicily, Carmelo really does live and breathe olive oil. His Nocellara Etnea olive groves are rooted in the volcanic soil of the lower slopes of Mt Etna, soil which gives rise to a wonderfully distinctive olive oil that is rich and creamy and full of flavour.
